位于长江入海口的南通市是中国近代史上重要工业基地。地处长三角城市群、上海与苏州一小时经济圈，南通城市更新具备巨大区域优势及发展潜力。

规划用地联系长江口码头区与五水广场新城区域，总计510公顷。方案以长江口重点文旅项目为核心，分水岛体育公园为支撑，串联多层次城市公共空间、激活区域内城市商住功能。以多元开放的方式回应港口区更新，历史文化保护以及新生态文旅植入等一系列城市更新议题。

Interaction: The compositional public space enables interactions between important local actors, which activates an integrated publicity of the core region. Intelligence: Design introduces a 3D neural network structure to construct a smart multi-layered public space system, which has the characteristics of self-organization, tolerance and excellent ductility to adapt to various spacial/tempo needs. Symbiosis: Using the interactive intelligence system as a hub to realize the symbiosis between individuals and the city in space, behavior, interface and information level, which leads to the creation of a world-class super city public cluster.
